Extremely Rare Single Sided Porcelain Flying A Service Sign with BLACK WINGS!! This Sign is in great condition with no touch ups or repairs. There are no chips in the field of the sign. Most of the chips are at the mounting holes and a few around the edges and the edges of the wings. The sign is nice and flat and not bent or curved. If you are a Flying A, veedol, Tydol, or just a gas/oil Collector, then you know how rare this sign really is, as the black winged version. Its so rare most people probably dont know about it. This is only one of the 2-3 known to even exist. Most were probably trashed at the junkyard. I also believe the company did not use the black winged version for a very long period, which is why very few are known. One of the other examples known is in really poor condition, with a lot of touch ups. 59 3/4 from tip to tip of the wings. The diameter of the red circle is 48.
