Porcelain ICE Dealer Neon Flashing Sign Gas Oil Service Station 1930's Chicago

This is one of most prolific pieces of Americana Advertising we have been fortunate enough to work on. This 8ft Porcelain Neon ICE sign is one to really bring back that feeling of nostalgia.

It is an original Porcelain Neon. Shown are many photos documenting the Mechanical Restoration of the piece.

This is a very rare and very early piece of Advertising. ICE would have been a luxary at the time that not all rest stops or General Stores would have available. This sign was used and then years later discovered in Chicago. Porcelain surface features excellent color and gloss.

It does show numerous chips from the rear. Only the best Components were used to restore this to working order. Both Transformers are top of the line Magnetic long lasting pieces. All new housings, neon , and wiring is all the very best. The neon itself is done extremely well.

Only a few benders in the nation can make bends as sharp as the arrow tips show. Done in the old school way, and looking amazing on this piece. All internals are shown with the access covers removed. If your collection does not feature a flashing neon with original style mechanical flasher... The speed can be controlled with the lever and these old style units make a very distinct and attractive sound while in operation.
